Bid Invitation for Repair Contractors
Public Bid Request
This public bid request is to invite subcontractors to bid for an annual contract with the NC Housing Finance Agency’s Urgent Repair Program. Two to three contractors will be selected for each of five identified major repairs: septic, electrical, water, roof, deck/low rise stairs, underpinning and plumbing. Selected contractors will then be contracted for repairs with preference under NC Housing Finance Agency’s Urgent Repair Program for the 2026-2027 cycle.
Bids are accepted starting August 1st and it will close at the end of day on August 31st. Bids may be dropped off at our office 798 Walnut Creek Rd in Marshall, NC or emailed to sarah@chcmadisoncountync.org
Subcontractors and Vendors are required to provide:
- W-9 form to capture your entity status and your Employer Identification Number
- Certificate Of Insurance (COI) that includes both General Liability AND Worker’s Compensation coverage

It facilitates urgent home repairs, rehabilitation, and new construction affordable replacement housing for low-income Madison County residents by leveraging grant funding, direct public contributions, and thousands of volunteers to support and empower them to remain in their homes. For over 20 years, CHC has served over 120 households annually with needs assessments, accessibility improvements, roofs, flooring, electrical, heating, and well/septic systems, and other major repairs that impact their health and safety.
