Mars Hill, NC – Mars Landing Galleries is proud to announce Artful Impact 2024, a December and November fundraising effort benefiting the Community Housing Coalition (CHC) of Madison County. Throughout November and December 2024, Mars Landing will donate 20% of all fine art gallery sales to support CHC’s vital mission of providing safe and healthy homes for those affected by Hurricane Helene.

About the Community Housing Coalition of Madison County:
For over 20 years, CHC has been a steadfast advocate for affordable housing in Madison County, supporting low-income residents with home repairs and essential housing assistance. The recent devastation of Hurricane Helene has created an urgent need for shelter and repair services, as homes, infrastructure, and livelihoods have been destroyed across Western North Carolina. CHC is working tirelessly to address the surge in housing needs, but the scale of the damage requires the support of the entire community.

“We are deeply grateful to Mars Landing Galleries for their generous support during this challenging time. Their commitment to donate 20% of all fine art sales during November and December directly supports our mission of ensuring safe and healthy homes for Madison County residents affected by Hurricane Helene. This partnership is a beacon of hope for our community as we work together towards recovery.”
said Chris Watson, Executive Director of the Community Housing Coalition of Madison County.

About Mars Landing Galleries:
Mars Landing Galleries is home to the works of over 30 visual artists living and working in Western North Carolina. Located at 37 Library Street in Mars Hill, the gallery offers a welcoming space for art lovers to explore and appreciate a wide range of artistic expressions. Mars Landing, founded by Miryam Rojas, is dedicated to showcasing the talent of regional artists and supporting the local community through creative initiatives.

I firmly believe that a person’s homeplace affects their sense of self and ultimately their well-being. Given all of Helene’s destruction in our mountain communities, there are few greater needs right now than those CHC tackles to keep residents living safely in their homes, especially as we enter into Winter. Our humanity demands that we care for the most vulnerable and the need has just exacerbated.

I started Artful Impact just last year as a way to encourage would-be collectors by offering a discount from the gallery’s end and sales in the hands of my artists. This year I encourage those with means an opportunity to purchase artwork they love knowing that 20% of the sale will go directly to this tried and true non-profit doing incredible work in this severe time of need. They need financial support more than ever. “
