Community Housing Coalition of Madison County (CHC) is excited to announce a three-year IMPACT Grant award from WNC Bridge Foundation. This funding will be utilized to support capacity for our new Affordable Replacement Housing Program, that is being designed to replace uninhabitable homes with new, energy efficient, and affordable models. This program will add a new way for CHC to address the affordable housing crisis impacting rural communities by making home ownership possible for individuals and families who otherwise would not qualify for a mortgage by leveraging their primary asset – their land and associated infrastructure – with our funding to provide a new, highly-efficient, healthy home on an affordable monthly payment.
CHC staff are looking forward to this opportunity from WNC Bridge Foundation as we launch this program that supports our mission to facilitate safe, healthy, and affordable housing in Madison County.
